Solar System Technologies
The two basic technologies of the solar system which are used to collect the solar radiations are solar photovoltaic technology and the solar thermal technology. Under the solar photovoltaic technology, the solar radiations are converted into electricity and can be used to power lighting, heating and cooling systems. This technology makes use of arrays of solar cells which help in the collection of sun radiations and converting these radiations into electricity.

Solar thermal technology makes direct use of solar radiations to produce solar power which is then used by solar cookers and solar water heaters to function without the use of convention electricity.
