The Electric Toothbrush has come of Age
The latest kind of electric toothbrush is the sonic toothbrush which has a specialized technology. This toothbrush with its special cleansing action can clean even beyond the points in your mouth and teeth, which the tips of the bristles do not touch.
In any case electric toothbrushes are considered best for removing plaque and the sonic toothbrush is the latest technology that has been developed in the category of electric toothbrushes. It is characterized by the high speed vibration of its brush head. It can create up to 40 thousand brush strokes per minute, compared to a maximum of 7500 strokes created by a conventional electric toothbrush.
There are two kinds of mechanisms on which the sonic toothbrush works. One mechanism is conventional and is the same used in all other electric toothbrushes. The second mechanism is the specialised cleaning action which is the outstanding feature of sonic toothbrushes.
The sonic toothbrush uses a scrubbing action with its bristles against the surface of the teeth. But after that the bristles can vibrate at a tremendous speed and this has an immediate effect on the fluids in the mouth, like the saliva. The fluids receive a kind of energy through the vibratory motion and can therefore dislodge dental plaque on the teeth. The fluids perform the cleaning action, not the bristles, because sometimes the bristles cannot even reach some hidden spots where plaque has formed.
The sonic toothbrush achieves a tooth surface which is free from any plaque and remains spotless. Use very little toothpaste on the sonic toothbrush, otherwise the vibration of the bristles will foam the toothpaste in the mouth too much. Also, with the cleaning activity created in the mouth, it must be rinsed out several times so that the dislodged bacteria do not remain in the mouth. A light mouthwash at the end will give a fragrant and cool flavor in your clean mouth.
